F100 - Digital Electrometer with HV Power Supply

Subtotal$3,880.00

Description

The F100 measures currents from nA to mA from an external detector. For example Faraday cups, ion chambers, beam position monitors, or photodiodes.

The primary application is real-time dosimetry for particle therapy. The F100 integrates current into a total charge. It generates a monitor pulse for each defined aliquot of total charge. After the total charge reaches a predetermined target its digital logic output triggers. This digital output connects up to a beam command or pneumatic actuator. The unit could be stand-alone or integrated into a larger control system.

The F100 can use an auxiliary high-voltage output up to 2kV. The source is suitable for electrical suppression of secondary electrons in Faraday cups like the BC-75.

Features

  • Multirange current to voltage converter
  • Dynamic range 0.1 nA to 10 mA
  • Extended dynamic range option up to 200 mA
  • Integrated digitization and filtering
  • Integrated precision calibration source with loopback option
  • High voltage output option
  • Pneumatic actuator control option
  • RS-232, USB and fiber-optic interfaces

Applications

  • Faraday cup readout
  • Ionization chambers
  • Photodiodes
  • General precision current measurement

Integrated High Voltage

  • Avoids the need for a separate external HV supply.
  • Precise programmable voltage control.
  • Choice of polarity, positive or negative, and range up to 3000V depending on the product.
  • Shared ground with measurement electronics to eliminate ground loops.
  • Short circuit protection and redundant output voltage monitoring.

Fiber Optics

Pyramid transmits measurement data over fiber-optic cable instead of copper, keeping signals immune to electrical interference. Our radiation-hard fibers have minimal light attenuation, enabling fast, reliable messaging across enormous distances.

IG2 EPICS Support

Integrate device data collection and configuration into an EPICS system, without writing a single line of code using IG2.

  • Runs on Windows and Debian Linux
  • Change PV names with simple XML configuration
  • Connect to multiple Pyramid devices at once
  • Add custom scale factors and offsets on a PV basis
  • Never have to recompile
  • Professional Pyramid support for bugs and features
